Planning an Industrial Application with Hirschmann GRS106-6F8T16TSGGY9HHSE3AURXX.X.XX and Its Verified Manufacturer Data

Confirm the exact DRAGON switch version

Hirschmann GRS106-6F8T16TSGGY9HHSE3AURXX.X.XX identifies the Hirschmann managed industrial rack-mount Ethernet switch, model GRS106-24TX/6SFP-2HV-3AUR, part number 942287015. Preserve the full suffix because L2A, L3A-MR and L3A-UR variants represent different software or routing scope and should not be treated as interchangeable ordering descriptions.

Build the copper and fiber port plan

The saved source lists 30 Ports in total, 6x GE/2.5GE/10GE SFP(+) slot + 8x FE/GE/2.5GE TX ports + 16x FE/GE TX ports. Allocate access, aggregation and high-speed uplink interfaces before requesting supply. Confirm transceiver format, fiber medium, reach, breakout needs, link redundancy and spare capacity for the final topology.

Review rack power and cooling

The manufacturer data gives Power supply input 1: 110 - 240 VAC, 50 Hz - 60 Hz , Power supply input 2: 110 - 240 VAC, 50 Hz - 60 Hz, an operating reference of -10 - +60, and dimensions of 444 x 44 x 310 mm. Check rack depth, airflow, fan and power redundancy, grounding, branch protection and service clearance against the project cabinet design.

Ordering and engineering reference

Separate hardware and software scope

State the required switching, routing, redundancy, management, cybersecurity and time-synchronisation functions. Ask the quotation to separate the base hardware, software entitlement, power or fan modules, line cards, transceivers and accessories where they are not included in the requested part number.

Prepare an engineering RFQ

Send HKXY the exact reference Hirschmann GRS106-6F8T16TSGGY9HHSE3AURXX.X.XX, part number 942287015, quantity, destination and target delivery date. Add the network diagram, rack elevation, port schedule, power-feed design, environmental conditions and required documentation.

Receipt and lifecycle documentation

Compare the delivered nameplate with the approved purchase line before installation. Retain photographs, module inventory, configuration backup and test results so future maintenance can distinguish the accepted build from nearby DRAGON MACH variants.
